MASSEY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER
Location: Massey Fairgrounds, Massey, ON
Terms: 8-week, full time contract (35 hours per week), start date June 29, 2026
Wages: $18-20/hour based on experience
About us: The Massey Agricultural Society is a volunteer organization. Our mission is to encourage agricultural awareness celebrate our community and promote arts and culture and the rural lifestyle. We provide educational, cultural, and agricultural experiences to our members and the public.
About the role: The successful candidate will work with the Massey Agricultural Society Board of Directors to determine the priorities for maintaining the fairgrounds throughout the summer of 2026. The candidate will be required to do maintenance on buildings, assist with caring for the community garden, cut grass, clear areas for activities, and assist with putting up signage for the Massey Fair.
Requirements:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Between the ages of 15-30 as per the Canada Student Jobs Opportunity Grant
Reliable transport to Massey Fairgrounds
Must be available to work occasional weekends and evenings
Must be available to work Massey Fair Weekend
Valid CPIC
Valid First Aid CPR
Access to a personal vehicle is an asset
