Location: Massey Fairgrounds, Massey, ON
Terms: 4 weeks - July 6 - 31 | 5 days per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30 - 4 pm daily with an unpaid 30 minute lunch
Wages: $28/hour
About us: The Massey Agricultural Society is a volunteer organization. Our mission is to encourage agricultural awareness, celebrate our community, promote arts and culture, and the rural lifestyle. We provide educational, cultural, and agricultural experiences to our members and the public.
About the role: The successful candidate will work in coordination with the Massey Agricultural Board and summer staff in delivering our summer camps. Tasks will include supporting summer camp participants in a variety of camp activities and assisting summer staff with camp activities.
Requirements:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Completion of one of the following: Educational Assistant, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Early Childhood Educator
Valid CPIC
Valid First Aid & CPR
Experience/Skills:
Independent work habits including being able to problem solve and show initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with children ages 5+
Initiative and quick adaptation to new situations
