YOUTH RECRATIONAL AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES COUNSELLOR (2 POSITIONS)

​Job Title: Youth Recreational and Leisure Activities Counsellor
Location: Massey Fairgrounds, Massey, ON
Terms: 8-week, full time contract (35 hours per week), start date June 30, 2025
Wages: $17.20/hour
About us:
The Massey Agricultural Society is a volunteer organization. Our mission is to encourage agricultural awareness celebrate our community and promote arts and culture and the rural lifestyle. We provide educational, cultural, and agricultural experiences to our members and the public.
About the role:
The successful candidates will assist with summer camps day camps held at the Massey Fair as well as youth activities at the Massey Fair. They will assist the volunteer board to promote these events, establish camp schedules, support camp participants, and run the camps.
Requirements:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Between the ages of 15-30 as per the Canada Student Jobs Opportunity Grant
Reliable transport to Massey Fairgrounds
Must be available to work occasional weekends and evenings
Must be available to work Massey Fair Weekend
Valid CPIC
Valid First Aid & CPR
Access to a personal vehicle is an asset
Experience/Skills:
Organization
Experience working with children an asset
Experience leading children’s activities an asset
Experience working in a team an asset
Communication – oral and written
