MASSEY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY FACILITY MAINTENANCE OPERATOR
Location: Massey Fairgrounds, Massey, ON Terms: 8-week, full time contract (35 hours per week), start date June 30, 2025 Wages: $20/hour About us: The Massey Agricultural Society is a volunteer organization. Our mission is to encourage agricultural awareness celebrate our community and promote arts and culture and the rural lifestyle. We provide educational, cultural, and agricultural experiences to our members and the public. About the role: The Facility Maintenance Operator will report directly to the Fair Manager. They will also oversee and complete property and building maintenance at the Massey Fairgrounds. Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to cutting grass, removing dead trees, caring for the community gardens, ensuring buildings are cleaned and prepped for the Massey Fair, assisting with Massey Fair set up and tear down. Requirements: Legally eligible to work in Canada Between the ages of 15-30 as per the Canada Student Jobs Opportunity Grant Reliable transport to Massey Fairgrounds Must be available to work occasional weekends and evenings Must be available to work Massey Fair Weekend Valid CPIC Valid First Aid CPR Access to a personal vehicle is an asset Skills: Ability to operate push lawn mower Ability to operate riding lawn mower Painting General maintenance experience an asset
